Letting Go
Letting go of stress feels good and makes us much more powerful and resilient.
Holding onto negative feelings consumes us from the inside. Fortunately there are many ways to purge ourselves of the toxicity of negative thoughts, feelings, and judgements.
Here are 8 ways to release:
➖Have great workout. Do something physical and visualize the negativity leaving your body. You can even play sports like tennis or basketball.
➖Write a letter containing everything you want to let out. Don't censor yourself or judge what come out. Then after burn or tear up the letter and let it go.
➖Sing along to music that matches the frequency of what you want to release singing Alanis Morissette's "You Outta Know" at the top of your lungs has helped millions of people release anger and pain. I would suggest putting aside a specific amount of time to feel through the emotion and then move through the emotions.
➖Getting a great massage or doing it yourself. You can massage your own hands or feet.
➖Use EFT Tapping there are many videos that can guide a beginner through the process.
➖Reach out to an understanding friend and ask for a vent session to let off steam and to have the space to work through the negative emotions. You can even request not to get advice so that you can simply speak it out and decide what to do later.
➖Yell into a pillow. Let it all out!
➖Practicing calming mindfulness or meditation.
