What A Life Coach Does

Every top athlete knows the importance of a great coach. In sports, a coach creates a vision and action plan. Some even have a playbook. The coach spends time training athletes to help them reach their fullest potential and has the wisdom to guide the individual, as well as the team collectively to make progress. Coaches also hold the team members accountable for their actions.

Life coaching is very similar to this, when the coach is results oriented. The difference between sports coaches and life coaches is the client ultimately decides what success means to them. Instead of winning and losing at the game. I believe each coaching plan should be tailored to the individual to ensure they gain the life they really want by first delving within their heart to uncover what that life might be like.

I struggled a lot in my life. I didn't know how to move forward and I didn’t know anyone that was on a path that I wanted to be on. I was doing well when I compared myself to many of my peers, but I still didn't feel like I was getting enough traction. At the time, I thought I had tried everything. If you feel this way, I can assure you that you haven't tried everything. It wasn't until I exposed myself to the incredible world of coaching that I saw major results.

By learning the methods coaches use with their clients, I finally took on my first client, myself. I tested the habits, techniques, routines and worksheets. I hated working the nine to five, and I saw no way out. I started to lose hope. Because I felt like nothing was working. I can still remember when I felt that all change. It was when I filled out my first wheel of life worksheet. That worksheet, I gained clarity about what areas of my life were going well and which we're looking pretty dismal.

From there I crafted a plan to change my life. Now I help my clients do the same. Together we tackle limiting beliefs, learn to separate our heart’s desires from the egoic ones, craft custom plans, and build momentum that takes them in the direction of their grandest vision for their life.

By taking action, working one-on-one with brilliant coaches, reading the works of some of the greatest life strategists and consultants around, showing up for myself in ways I never had, I started to get the results the coaches in the books I loved had gained. I modeled my career after others but put my unique style in the mix and the response continues to be overwhelming and so positive! I have grown a lot since my early days as a coach but the desire is the same, to be the best coach for my clients that I possibly can be. This comes down to allowing wisdom to flow through me, to be disciplined, to hold space for my clients to share openly knowing I have their best interests at heart, being able to provide accountability, empathy, give some tough love at times, and also being able to pull resources from my extensive knowledge of the field.

An excellent coach allows clients to dream bigger than they might have been able to before, that's what all of mine have helped me do and that's what I wish for you too. We accomplish this by enabling others to see their greatness and know that they are worthy of a beautiful life.

You deserve it, dream BIG!
